Welcome to NEBA 2020!!
NEBA of NH is a fishing organization established on the principles of sportsmanship and conservation, founded by fishermen and run for the benefit of its members. NEBA provides an opportunity to compete in a 5 Tournament Team Trail, as well as 3 Open Tournaments, all on New Hampshire's beautiful lakes and rivers. NEBA of NH pays back 100% of the tournament fees to its anglers. Top 50% of teams qualify for the annual Tournament of Champions (best 4 of 5 tournaments) and will compete, no entry fee, for thousands of dollars in prize money.
We are accepting 2020 registrations for NEBA of NH and hope you will join us. Our goal is to have 30 teams. You can see a list of tournament dates/locations attached. We are extremely regarding our lakes/river this year
Membership Applications & Dues - Membership is $35 per person but you can get up to $30 off NEBA dues by bringing in up to 3 new teams for 2020. You will get $10 off for each team. If you bring in a team that previously fished NEBA (other than 2019 you can still get the $10 off membership.
Team Trail/Open Applications & entry Fees - Entry fees for 2020 are $150/team. A minimum of 4 tournaments must be fished to qualify for TOC. There will be 3 "Double Down" Opens with NH BASS Nation and The NH Bass Federation. You do not have to be a member to fish.
Doubledown tournaments are tournaments in one. You can enter either or both.
TOC - The TOC, as in past years, does not cost any money if you qualify. We typically pay out about $5K in prize money and approx. ½ of the field will qualify. For 2020, we will be having the TOC on 2 different lakes. We have chosen Winni Day 1 on Conway Lake and Day 2 on Ossipee Lake.
Tournament Standings - Our goal is to have tournament results/standings on the website within 1-2 days following each tournament. We realize getting results is important to all of us.
We ask that you get your membership dues and trail application into us by 3/31/20.

2020 NEBA of NH Season Preview
Permits were submitted late and we are now waiting for final approval from NH Fish and Game. The season will consist of 5 Trail tournaments and a 2-day Tournament of Champions. The top point-getting teams from the season will earn a trip to the NEBA of NH TOC and can reap great rewards as thousands of dollars are rewarded in this NO ENTRY FEE event. In addition to the Trail events, three Open Tournaments are scheduled as Double Downs with the Bass Federation (TBF) and BASS Nation.
The 2020 Trail season kicks off on May 10th on Newfound. Newfound Lake this time of year should produce some impressive smallmouth weights. We have had 20lb bags of 4 smallmouth in the past on Newfound. The second Trail tournament will take place on June 28h on Sunapee. We moved this tournament a week out in hopes that the spawn will be over. Since this is still a four fish limit, teams will need to decide whether to chase green or brown fish. While Sunapee can put out big bags of largemouth and smallmouth, it also can be a tough fishery this time of year. Trail #3 will take place at Squam Lake on July 26th. Getting an eight fish limit and the points that go with it will factor greatly in our teams strategy for this event. Our 4th Trail event will be on August 9th on the Connecticut River out of Bellows Falls. As with most of these events, teams will have important decisions to make. Do you run up river to chase the ample smallmouth or stay in the weedy south part of this stretch of river to try and limit out on largemouth? The past few tournaments out of Bellows has produced huge largemouth that have won those tournaments. Our final Trail event will take place on Winni on September 27th. While there are some very good largemouth in the lake, smallmouth can be huge. It's dropshot time of year. You may find them in deeper water.
The 2020 TOC has been finalized. We know this time of year can be tough with traffic. Last TOC we fished on Conway was Columbus Day weekend and traffic was terrible and rooms were hard to find. We are fishing a week earlier this year and hope this will minimize the impact we had at Conway last time. Fishing Sunday out of Ossipee will allow us more ways to travel home. We expect some big weights out of these 2 lakes.
NEBA of NH will also have three double-down Opens with TBF and NH BASS Nation this year. In these events, teams can win double the prize money by registering for the event with both organizations. Chances are good if you do well in one, you will do well in both.
Lastly, we have no say in launch fees. They are "what they are". Our Double Down Partners may have a deal with West Alton Marina. For NEBA Trail Tournaments, we will work closely with Lakefront Landing (Ossipee) and Winni (Silver Sands) to keep launch fees as low as possible
